For those who are new to NLP
NLP is basically a way to describe how our human nature actually works. And there are a lot of parts of our nature to look into. So we have a lot of free information for you to browse.
Different parts may be useful to different visitors, or it could be that you will want to try one page now, and another page on another visit.
For instance, how do we learn? Or how can we communicate with maximum effect? Even on teenagers, or our spouses? Needless to say, this area of skill works at work or school as well as at home.
For those of you who are brand-new to NLP here are two "easy ways in":
- Hundreds of Free Articles: You can start with stories or interviews of how people are using NLP in various parts of their lives.
- Free CDs and Online Audio: Next, you might invest a few minutes to download and listen to a few Free Audio Clips. The clips are short, and you can get a very quick introduction.
- FAQ's: Or, if you like a "top-down" approach, you can go to our FAQ page. It provides definitions and a basic introduction to NLP.
- Books: Reviews and Online Chapter selections from the most popular NLP books - get a taste before you invest! Go to " book reviews"
And take a look at the See For Yourself Video - online clips and full demonstrations from our Living Encyclopedia of NLP! You can order the Free DVD here also!
You'll find many good recommendations on all these pages, and when you're ready to start learning even more about NLP, we suggest the following starter materials available in our NLP Shopping Mall.
The first is a book, "NLP: The New Technology Of Achievement" by Steve Andreas and Charles Faulkner. You'll get some immediately usable techniques and insights about NLP (and perhaps yourself) from pioneers in this field who teach NLP for a living. It also will give you a feel for our "NLP Comprehensive" approach, using multiple trainers to give many different viewpoints on the subject.
The second suggestion is for those of you who want to look deeper into NLP but are not ready for a training yet. We have a DVD program titled "The Fundamentals of NLP". It will allow you to see and hear what an actual NLP training is like, as if you were an invisible visitor in the training room.
It's taught by Leslie Cameron-Bandler (now Leslie LeBeau), one of the originators of NLP. Leslie is now retired from training, so the only way you will ever be able to benefit from her training is through this program.
The neat thing about this program is that you will get a credit towards tuition when you decide to come to one of our trainings!
